Program Overview
Given the growing senior population and their unique pre-hospital emergency care needs, there is a definite need to provide first responders and Emergency Nurses with educational opportunities specific to senior adults. With support from the Winter Park Health Foundation (WPHF), the Emergency Medicine Learning & Resource Center (EMLRC) have collaborated with local EMS agencies and developed an educational program addressing six distinctive and vital areas of senior care. The topics include:

• Demographics of our Aging Society and the Physiology of the Aging Patient
• The Most Common Senior Emergencies
