The Florida Emergency Medicine Foundation and the Emergency Medicine Learning & Resource Center through a partnership with the Florida Department of Health under a grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has developed and distributed a continuing educating program for rural EMS personnel and emergency department nurses.

The program entitled EMS Continuing Education CD-Rom Series Part One is a 2 CD-ROM set (15 hours) which has been distributed to 75 rural EMS agencies and hospitals in Florida. The program is approved by Continuing Education Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS), the Florida Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and the Florida Board of Nursing for fifteen hours of continuing education credit.
