Emergency Medicine Learning and Resource Center's CEO and Director/COO Win Prestigious Awards

ORLANDO, FL -- August 3, 2009 -- The Emergency Medicine Learning and Resource Center is pleased to announce that during the Florida Department of Health, Bureau of EMS’s 19th Annual Florida Excellence in EMS Awards Ceremony held on June 30, 2009, in conjunction with the 2009 Clinical Conference on Prehospital Emergency Care (ClinCon) in Orlando, two members of the EMLRC Team were recognized for their contributions to EMS.

Beth Brunner, EMLRC CEO, was honored by the Florida Department of Health, Bureau of EMS as the 2009 Larry S. Jordan EMS Hall of Fame Inductee. John Bixler, Florida’s Bureau of EMS Chief, provided a significant notation about the award when he announced that Ms. Brunner was the first women to be presented with this honor.

John Todaro, EMLRC Director/COO was honored by the Florida EMS Educators Association as their 2009 EMS Education Program Director of the Year.

The Emergency Medicine Learning & Resource Center (EMLRC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and advancing emergency medicine, disaster management, pre-hospital emergency care and public health through the provision of educational and research programs. The EMLRC provides lifesaving education for lifesavers.
