-- The Emergency Medicine Learning & Resource Center (EMLRC)
is pleased to announce that John Todaro, REMT-P, RN, Director/Chief
Operating Officer of the Emergency Medicine Learning &
Resource Center has become one of the first EMS Educators in
Florida to be nationally certified through the newly formed
Emergency Medical Services Educator Certification Services (EMSECS).
The mission of the EMSECS is to promote
excellence in EMS education by offering a certification for EMS
education professionals
through a valid and uniform process, which
assesses the knowledge and skills associated
with competent, relevant and structurally sound educational
practices. In designing the EMS Educators Certification Services
examination, the EMSECS Board of Directors sought to define the
difference between entry level and mastery level EMS educators.
Mr. Todaro successfully completed the national
examination process on September 14, 2007 which was held in
conjunction with the National Association of EMS Educators
Annual Educational Symposium in Los Angeles, California.

The Emergency Medicine Learning & Resource
Center (EMLRC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting
and advancing emergency medicine, disaster management, pre-hospital
emergency care and public health through the provision of
