The Florida College of Emergency Physicians has developed a Medical Student Mentor Program as a resource for students considering specializing in Emergency Medicine, with the goal of improving professional success, emphasizing the importance of organized medicine, and increasing interest in emergency medicine as a whole. Medical students will receive desired guidance and support as they develop personal and professional skills as well as gain insight into the role of the emergency physician and the specialty of Emergency Medicine.
In order to provide mentors to our medical students, we need to build a database of mentors. If you are a Board Certified/Eligible practicing emergency medicine physician willing to share your valuable knowledge, experience and insights, click here to download a mentorship description and application.
If you are a medical student looking for guidance in achieving your academic and career goals and would like to participate in a mentoring relationship with an established emergency medicine physician, click here to download a mentee application. All applications are reviewed by the Medical Student Mentor Program Committee. Mentors and mentees will be notified when a mentor/mentee match has been made.
