• This year one in three people in the United States will seek emergency medical
   assistance of some kind, according to The Center for Disease Control.

• This year more than 106 million individuals, of which 30 million are children, will be
   seen and treated by an emergency care provider.

• At some point you, your family, your loved ones, your friends will require lifesaving
   medical care due to a heart attack, stroke, natural disaster or accident.

• The number of patients seeking emergency care (according to the American College
   of Emergency Physicians) has increased 27 percent in this decade.

• Over one million lifesavers have been educated by the EMLRC in the last thirty
   years.

• The EMLRC conducts six national or international medical conferences annually in
   Florida.

• More than 500,000 first responders have been educated in weapons of mass
   destruction since September 11, 2001.

• Getting a patient to definitive care within the first “golden hour” of injury drastically
   increases their chances of survival.
